I took some time off today and did some shooting in the "new" studio. I want to get a feel for the light and space before making final decisions about paint, furniture, and orientation. More photos to come over the coming days, but this one caught me off guard. I keep returning to it for its simplicity.

My apologies for being MIA. It's been a crazy fall. I'm working on a big marketing project at work, and have done about a dozen mini and full sessions in the last week as a result. I'm really loving some of it, but need to gather up permissions before posting. I have permissions to use for the marketing purpose for which they were shot, but my own portfolio is a grey area, and I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I took these fun photos two weekends ago. The oldest daughter was home from college and mom wanted a capture of them all together. I loved watching them interact with each other. This family was also my first word-of-mouth referral from another satisfied customer, so that is pretty cool.

Rachel did something very cool today. She had 10 inches of her hair cut to donate to Locks of Love! She looks beautiful and is very proud that her gift will help a sick child. I think she looks absolutely fabulous and very grown up.

And here we have the new big brother. I love photographing this little guy. He has the most amazing eyes - deep, dark, and clear as can be, with lovely long lashes that melt your heart.
